Lucien Guilbert, a designer and artist, placated his wife, Mary, when she and her friend came up with the idea of Coats of Arms for pets. He worked with recognized breeders to authenticate the history of the breed. He then developed a composite portrait of the head of the animal. This was critiqued by the breeders and changes were made to the work until they were well satisfied.

Each Crest's head study is a watercolor rendition of a composite of champions. Time from inception to completion of a given crest spans about four months.

Pet Crests sold for several years in upscale pet shops and such prestigious locations as Saks Fifth Avenue and Hammacher Schlemmer. Now they are available again through the world wide web.

President Lyndon Johnson received the Beagle Pet Crest during his hospital stay for gall bladder surgery. He was thrilled and wrote to us a wonderful letter.

President Nixon wrote to us also, and really liked his Irish Setter Pet Crest.

The St. Bernard's Hospice at Mons Jovis Pass (between Italy and Switzerland) received the Limited Edition St. Bernard Pet Crest.
