Meaning
of the GSP Pet Crest
T he CREST or top of the Pet Crest symbolizes
Prince Albrecht Zu Solms Bauenfels of the House of Hanover, one early breeder of
renown. The center SHIELD portrays a head study of the breed. The SUPPORTERS on either
side of the SHIELD depict typical hunting scenes. The GROUND at the base of the SHIELD
displays the various game of the field and air. Upper group from left to right: Hungarian
Partridge, Wood Snipe, White-tailed Jackrabbit, Ring-necked Pheasants, and Quail. The
lower group from left to right: Mallard, Raccoon, Opossum, and Jack Snipe. The TITLE and
MOTTO complete the Pet Crest. Check the History button for more
