of the Yorkie Pet Crest
The CREST and MANTLING at the top of the Pet Crest displays the heraldic
white rose of York used by one branch of the Plantagenet royal family. Five fully opened
petals are shown, barbed and seeded. Barbed and seeded properly, a rose has green barbs
and gold seeds. The center SHIELD portrays a head study of this aristocratic toy terrier
breed. The SUPPORTERS on either side of the center SHIELD show the dog's working class
origins from the weavers and his pampered existence among the wealthy admirers of this
